I recently had an enjoyable music night performing at the Alamo Burns Club in Paisley. They are a great bunch of folk and made me feel very welcome. As a Paisley buddy myself it's always nice to be invited along to their gatherings especially as i'm an avid fan of not only Robert Burns but the Alamo story itself. Thanks to George Grant and all at the club for having me along. Their recently launched new website is an interesting Burns resource and helps bring the Burns community across the world a little bit closer together. More information about it and the Alamo can be found at www.alamoburnsclub.org.uk Neil's latest news. I'm spending most of my time playing with my band these days, working as a caricaturist, learning to play the whistle and going crazy bringing up weans. There are a few new song idea's popping about and i'm in the process of organising a tour of gigs around the West coast, Perthshire and Glasgow and Edinburgh in the summertime. In the meantime i'm enjoying the quiet life in Crieff where i go down to the monday night Mamas sessions in the Crieff hotel. This is a relaxed informal gathering of like minded musical souls who meet for beers, merriment and an opportunity to play. It's a great environment for trying out new ideas.
